Inclusive Arts Festival is a free, two-day celebration of art, dance, music, theatre, and crafts by immigrant and newcomer communities. Hosted by Artists and Artisans Development Network in collaboration with community organizations, the festival brings together diverse performers and exhibits to create opportunities for marginalized individuals and groups.
Mission
Artists and Artisans Development Network’s mission is to provide support and opportunities for economic and social development to artists and artisans of all artistic practices who are newcomers to Canada or from other visible minority groups. Inclusive Arts Festival was created in 2014 to provide much-needed opportunities for newcomer artists to share their work, perspectives, and cultures.
Vision
Our vision for Inclusive Arts Festival is to create a platform that brings awareness to under-represented artists. Together, we will promote inter-cultural understanding, collaboration, and community-building.
Community
Community is at the heart of the Inclusive Arts Festival. Our purpose is to build community through the arts and we will do that by bringing together a team of diverse collaborators. Volunteers, community partners, sponsors, and artists will come together for cultural exchange and celebration.
Accessibility
Keeping inclusion as top priority, the event is held in an accessible facility and open to guests, volunteers, and performers of all abilities. If you have accessibility needs and have questions about the event, please contact info@artistsnandartisans.ca.
